An award-winning multidisciplinary artist based just outside Oxford, my work explores the beauty and strength of shape, form and composition across photography, painting and collage.

Working with mostly monochrome film photography, I photograph flowers in their simplest forms, often set against stark black or white backgrounds and sometimes arranged in vessels. Stripped of colour and distraction, the flowers become studies in line, silhouette, light and shadow - quiet, sculptural images that invite a slower way of looking.

In my painting and collage, I approach shape and form through a more intuitive and colour-driven process. Using paint, paper and print, I build bold, balanced compositions inspired by abstract forms and the geometric shapes of everyday vessels. Mono printing, mark making and collage allow the work to evolve organically, with each piece informing the next. Negative shapes, fragments and offcuts are retained and reworked, becoming the starting point for new compositions.

Across both photography and mixed-media work, I am interested in reduction, arrangement and the unexpected relationships between shape and space. Whether through the quiet simplicity of a flower on film or the layered energy of paint, paper and print, I explore how familiar forms can be transformed into something abstract, considered and new.
